Our Story
Founded by people who knew the industry was being underserved.
Powertex Distributions was started by [FOUNDER NAME(S)] — industry operators who had spent years working with electrical wholesalers that treated cable like a commodity and customers like order numbers. They saw an opportunity to do it properly.
The model was simple. Stock real product. Hire technical people who actually understand applications. Cut cable to spec without charging for it. And deliver when you say you will. No catalogue tricks. No "we can order it in for you." Just stock that's in the warehouse, sales staff who know the products, and trucks that leave on time.
From the Johannesburg head office to the Cape Town branch, that's still how PHD Power operates. The industry has changed in a hundred ways since we started — but the standard hasn't moved.
